This week's Encoded Law Review: CFTC issued a trade ban on former Alameda and FTX executives

The United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) imposed a five-year trade ban on Caroline Ellison, former Chief Executive Officer of Alameda Research, and Zixiao “Gary” Wang, a co-founder of FTX, for his role in the collapse of the encryption exchange. The CTC also requested Ellison to prohibit registration for 10 years and Wang for 8 years. In addition, the United States prosecution objected to a soldier alleging that he had profited more than $400,000 from non-public information on the forecast market platform Polymarket。
