Sam Altman: OpenAI will terminate its cooperation with Cursor after SpaceX deals

Sam Altman states that OpenAI will terminate its cooperation with Cursor after the transaction with SpaceX. OpenAI plans to stop providing the model to Cursor because Cursor was acquired by SpaceX in Elon Musk, increasing competition in the development tool market. On 28 August, OpenAI informed SpaceX that it planned to close its agreement with Cursor on 12 November 2026, deciding that it was due to a change of control and concerns about whether SpaceX would comply with the terms of the contract.
