Korea's five big encryption exchange weekly trades surged by 188 per cent to reach 31 trillion won, 10 months high

On August 30, according to Digital Asset, the five Korean virtual asset exchanges (Upbit, Bitumb, Coinone, DigitalX, GOPAX) had a total turnover of approximately 31.1 trillion won (approximately $23 billion) in the week of August 21-28, a significant increase of 188.04 per cent over the previous week's 10.8 trillion won roundabouts, which was the highest level of nearly 10 months since late October 2025. In terms of exchange market share, Upbit maintained its first share at 59.61 per cent, with Bithumb standing second at 33.11 per cent; the changed DigitalX (formerly Korbit) city share rose significantly by 3.477 to 4.2 per cent, leaping beyond Coinone (3.05 per cent) to third, creating the highest share of the platform in almost 20 weeks。
