Galaxy Digital established a $5 million special fund to respond to future quantum counting threats

On 22 July, GLXY announced the establishment of a $5 million fund to finance the development of technology by Bitcoin developers to protect the Bitcoin network from potential security threats from future quantum calculations. According to Galaxy, **Galaxy Bitcoin Quantum Reardines Initiative ( bitcoin Quantum Security Plan)** is open as of that date. Funding focuses on the development of digital signature programmes that are resistant to quantum attacks, the development of wallet migration tools and security audits. Galaxy also expressed the hope that in the future more businesses would join, co-finance and research support to accelerate the transition of bitcoin to antiquantic cryptography。
