The Iranian military claims to have prepared for possible air strikes or ground operations

On 26 July, at 26 local time, the spokesman for the Iranian armed forces, Shakarci, stated that the current situation facing the United States was confusing and unfavourable, and that the United States side had “failed to achieve its stated objectives” in the Strait of Hormuz and in weakening Iran. Shekalci stated that the United States was currently seeking a new strategy that would not exclude the possibility of a withdrawal from war, but that “will depend on the agreement of the Israeli side”. He also indicated that with the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to the United States, Iran might face scenarios such as air strikes or ground military operations in the future. However, in the ground war option, the United States “will face greater vulnerability”. Shekalci indicated that Iran was well prepared for all possible scenarios. (observed)
