Alagozi: Iran-Oman negotiations are nearing completion

On 3 August, at a meeting of the Government ' s Cabinet on 2 August, Iranian Foreign Minister Aragzi stated that the negotiations between the two sides were now well under way and were in their final stages of completion. According to information received from the Iranian side on 26 July, the spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Baghaei, stated that discussions between Iran and Oman on common principles and operational mechanisms for the management of safe shipping in the Strait of Hormuz had been “effective and made some progress”. Aragazi spoke with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Oman and Saudi Arabia on 27 June to discuss the Strait of Hormuz.
