The U.S. and British regulators reiterated their support for stable currency and tokenization regulatory cooperation

On 5 August, United States and British regulators reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen financial regulatory cooperation at the 13th meeting of the Working Group on United States dollar Integration, held in London on 8 July. The two sides discussed monetary stabilization, the United States digital asset market structure, monetization and the British wholesale financial market digital strategy. The joint statement issued on 4 August indicated that United States officials had briefed the British on progress in the implementation of GENIUS Act and work related to the digital asset market structure. Participants also discussed the modernization of payments and the G20 road map for cross-border payments, which aims to improve cross-border payments. No new policy measures emerged from the meeting. The parties indicated that they would coordinate regulation in key areas of the digital asset sector and support responsible digital asset innovation under the framework of financial stability and international regulatory cooperation. On 14 July, the Joint American-British Initiative focused on financial innovation and capital market cooperation issued preliminary recommendations and a simultaneous joint statement of stabilization currencies. The two Governments indicated that the measures would lay the foundation for continued United States-British cooperation in the area of digital assets and capital markets。
