Bitcoin pondFoundry initiated a vote and the miners will decide whether to support the BIP-110 proposal

On July 22nd, one of Bitcoin's largest mining ponds, Fundry USA, is inviting the miners under the flag to vote to decide whether the pond supports the BIP-110 bitcoin improvement proposal. BIP-110 is a soft forklift proposal that is under intense discussion to reduce the size of stored data in bitcoin transactions in order to limit the occupancy of non-monetary transactions, including Ordinals (column). Fundry indicated that information on the proposal had been provided to miners ' clients and that the voting window would be closed at the height of the Bitcoin block at 961,632, which was expected in early August. The miners' clients can vote through links received by mail. BIP-110 is currently one of the more controversial proposals for the Bitcoin community. Proponents were of the view that the proposal would help to reduce the pressure on block space from non-financial use transactions; opponents were concerned that it might affect the openness of the Bitcoin network. Blockstream CEO Adam Back had publicly opposed BIP-110 as a possible use to freeze user funds. Executive Chairman Strategy Michael Saylor also criticized the proposal as likely to affect part of the normal transaction. According to Hashrate Index, Fundry USA currently accounts for 23.8 per cent of the entire network of bitcoin and is one of the largest bitcoin ponds in the world. Its attitude to BIP-110 may influence the future process of community discussion and deployment of the proposal。

Anthropic hit another $20 million and AI managed to burn into the US mid-term election

Anthropic contributed an additional $20 million to the cross-party AI Policy Organization Public First Action, with a cumulative investment of $40 million. This organization advocates greater transparency in AI and enhanced security oversight. According to Anthropic, model capacity is rapidly increasing and associated risks are increasing. Contributions can be used only for policy advocacy purposes and not to support or oppose specific candidates. On the other hand, the Super-Political Action Committee, which advocates accelerated and deregulated AI, is also holding large amounts of money. Prior to the mid-term elections in the United States, AI regulation had become a political lobbying war for real money and silver。

GOOGLE'S SHOW ON THURSDAY MORNING

On 22 July, after the United States stock held on 22 July at local time (23 a.m. Beijing time) Alphabet, the Google parent company, will announce performance for the second quarter, but the real focus of the market is not on single-season profit performance, but on whether management will further adjust the AI Capital Expenditure (Capex) guidelines. According to Robert Castrano, President of the Industry Network, who has more than 40 years of experience in research in the science and technology industry, several industrial chain signals indicate that Alphabet's previous offer of $180 - $190 billion in 2026 Capex may have been conservative. Alphabet ' s investment in the AI infrastructure for the coming years is likely to maintain the upward trend as the construction of the AIS data centre continues to accelerate and the demand for cloud computing continues to grow strongly. Castrano anticipates that Alphabet will, perhaps in the financial statements, increase the 2026 capital expenditure guidelines to $190 billion-2000 billion, while maintaining the related statement that the 2027 expenditure will be close to $300 billion. At the same time, Deutsche Bank has significantly increased projections of future capital expenditure in Alphabet. Germany expects that Alphabet will reach about $325 billion in 2027, up significantly from previous projections of $250 billion; capital expenditure may rise further to $365 billion to $37 billion in 2028. If this trend materializes, it means that the AI infrastructure investment cycle continues to expand, and the market has previously been concerned about the upcoming peak of AI capital spending and the slowdown in growth dynamics, or will face repricing。

CryptoQuant: The BTC's leverage of $66,000 to leverage the under-up structural vulnerability of real demand in real cash

On 22 July, according to an update published by Crystal Quant Analyst, a chain-based data platform, Sunny Mom, the recent breakthrough of $66,000 in bitcoin was driven mainly by future-leveraging funds rather than by real organic purchases in the spot market, with a more fragile structure. The core data from the study show that, while the increase was triggered at the beginning of the period by an empty silo (sliding), the subsequent price hike was mainly due to the entry of additional leverage and the futures contract from $21.2 billion to $23 billion, while the volume of spot transactions has continued to decline since April, with no significant discharges, unsophisticated chain demand is still on the right track, and there is a lack of ongoing support for the buyout. At the same time, the current sustainable contractual rates have not reached historical overheating levels, suggesting that the market as a whole does not see a strong consensus and that the increase lacks a broad financial consensus。

Upbit added Zilliqa to the transaction watch list

On July 22, the Korean encryption trading platform Upbit announced that Zilliqa token ZIL had been added to the " Transaction Alert" asset list, involving ZIL/KRW and ZIL/BTC transactions. Upbit states that, under the relevant provisions of the Korean Virtual Asset User Protection Act, the Platform has found that ZIL wallets or the distributed ledgers on which they are issued, transmitted, stored may have the risk of a security incident such as an unidentified or unrehabilitated hacker attack and may cause damage to users, and has therefore taken risk warning measures. The announcement indicates that the ZIL transaction notice period is 22 July to 3rd week of August 2026, i.e. 17 to 21 August. During the audit, Upbit will assess the risks associated with the termination policy based on transactional support and may extend the observation period, lift the warning or terminate transactional support. In addition, the ZIL charge and cash withdrawal services had previously been suspended. Upbit indicated that in the future, if services were to be reinstated, priority would be given only to the recovery of the cashier ' s function, and that the restoration of the full value service would be notified further on the basis of the results of the follow-up review. The current additional value will not reach the account and the related full value transaction will be returned。

GOLDMAN SACHS: LOOK AT THE KINSAN OFFICE AI SMART-BODY PRODUCT, BUT THE STOCK PRICE WAS VALUED HIGH

During the Shanghai World Congress on Artificial Intelligence (WAIC) in 2026, the Kim Shan Office launched WPS Contact, positioning it as an AI smart body capable of carrying out complex tasks. Goldman Sachs expects that the application of AI ' s smart body on edges will become more widespread. The market will pay more attention to the return on investment of AI ' s smarts to judge whether they can achieve long-term penetration. Goldman Sachs considered the Kim Shan office to be overvalued and downgraded its rating from “neutral” to “sale”. The reasons for this are: (1) the increase in WPS AI fees and user adoption rates will still take time; (2) the peer-initiated AI primary products will be more competitively priced,3 and there is still a lack of clear AI usage cases by end-users to prove their positive return on investment; and (4) the weak expenditure by small business clients and the reduced contribution of subscription revenue. This means that Goldman Sachs ' previous assumptions about enterprise and consumer subscriptions may be too radical. The target price has been revised downwards from the previous RMB 326 to RMB 201, up to a further 31 times the updated RMB 2027E P/E, which is less than 45 times the previously anticipated price. However, if the new functionality of the Kimshan office drives higher-than-anticipated rates of personal user fees, if the WPS 365 penetration of business clients is faster than anticipated, or if the user's consumption or use of WPS AI is significantly higher than the current assumption, then the target price of Kim Shan is expected to rise. The market expects a further increase in Google second quarter revenue to $116.8 billion, or 21.1 per cent over the same period. Google just released three Gemini models on Tuesday, but Gemini 3.5 Pro was allegedly delayed for months. HSBC analysts indicated that they would be concerned about whether Google clients wished to control their AI expenditure by using lower-cost models and how the company viewed the impact of higher hardware prices on its spending plans。

Trump did not use the law to tax Canada in '96, and experts say legal challenges are more difficult

Trump is imposing new tariffs on Canadian exports under a legal provision that has not been introduced since 1930. The new tariffs are based on section 338 of the United States Customs Act 1930 and are directed at “the imposition of discriminatory measures by foreign countries”, i.e. any action by trading partners that would disadvantage “United States business”. Simon Lester, a researcher at the University of United States of America, stated that Trump's administrative bulletin had clearly found that there was a basis for such conduct in Canada and that “it would be quite difficult to challenge successfully in United States courts”. According to the Administrative Bulletin, Canada has disadvantaged the United States mainly through three measures: Imports and sales of United States wine products are prohibited in eight Canadian provinces; United States dairy products are restricted to the Canadian market; and some United States cars are restricted to Canada. According to the administrative bulletin, the new tariff will enter into force on 19 August. But Nicolas Lamm, Associate Professor of International Law at Queen's University of Canada, believes that these tariffs are more a negotiating tactic aimed at weakening Canada's bargaining chip.
